How to Delete Multiple Rows in Excel

Deleting multiple rows in Excel can be a time-consuming task if you try to delete them one by one. Fortunately, Excel provides a quick and easy way to delete multiple rows at once. Here's how:

  1. Select the rows that you want to delete. You can do this by clicking on the row number on the left-hand side of the worksheet. If you want to select non-adjacent rows, hold down the Ctrl key as you click on the row numbers.

  2. Once you've selected the rows, right-click on any of the selected row numbers.

  3. In the context menu that appears, select "Delete" or "Delete Rows". This will delete all the selected rows at once.

Alternatively, you can use the following keyboard shortcut to delete the selected rows:

  1. Select the rows that you want to delete.

  2. Press and hold down the Shift key.

  3. Press the Spacebar to select all the cells in the selected rows.

  4. Press Ctrl + "-" (minus sign) on your keyboard.

  5. In the "Delete" dialog box that appears, select "Entire row" and click on "OK". This will delete all the selected rows at once.
